The multiplex as it arrived at home. The hay racks are just puted on the tray on the implements completly dismantled. 3 pulled implements and treatment hoses were included in the purchase.
6 November 2010 : The brakes have been repaired, the wheels cylinders have received new seals as well as the master cylinder. Every thing having been preliminary cleaned, lubricated and if needed cleaned from rust. In order to participate to the next Telethon which will be held on 4 December 2010, the passenger seat needs to be repaired and the dynamo bearings must be replaced.

22 September 2010 : I have dismantled the front and rear brake drums. The 6 brake cylinders are stucked and must be redone. The front ones are blind ones. I have unblocked the cylinder, the gaskets are dead. I have ordered replacement parts for the cylinders and master cylinder .I have received now all the parts and it just need now to install them. Here are some photos of the dismantling.
The secondary gear box with 4 forward speeds. There is no reverse in it. I don't know from which manufacturer it is coming. If you have any information about it, don't hesitate to contact me.
What's new since the tractor arrived at home : It has been shown at the Pontru show. I have replace the two front tires as they were worn (5.00 - 15) I have started to work on the braking system. Removal of the brake master cylinder with is dead and 3 houses. I will try to remove the front brake hubs (Renault Frégate) and rear ones (Citroên U23) in order to clean them and check to condition of the brake cylinders. The rear brake hubs are tapper and with keys, I hope that I will be able to remove them easily... I am searching. I am looking for poplar boards to remake the front of the cart, used as backrest for the driver and passenger
The typical tractor produced by Bénétullière was built to meet local demand for a tractor to meet the particular culture from Beaujolais. Several engines were used, Bernard W112, Renault Juvaquatre or diesel (probably Indernor). The model 412a featured on this page is powered by the type 670 of the Renault Juvaquatre. The primary gearbox (3 speeds plus reverse) also comes from the Juvaquatre. The secondary gearbox, which I have not yet determined the origin includes 4 forward gears and no reverse. The rear axle is from the Citroën U23 as the brake master cylinder. The rear wheels of tractor are from U23, but are those that were on the front of the truck. The front brake hubs are from the Renault Fregate. This patchwork, completed by a side winch and the famous treatment pump Moto-Fruidor Berthoud and a manual tiping dump could even be equipped hay racks actually make it a multi-purpose very specific tool; I got this tractor in averal good condition except the brake system that has to be reviewed. The tractor was sold with all its equipment, namely implements for working the soil, but also treatment equipment plus hay racks. The engine works perfectly and does not smoke. The gearboxes will certainly require good drainage, as I describe there operation as manly!. I have not yet tried the winch, or pump. I am currently seeking information regarding the braking system. I need a strong drum puller to remove the rear-mounted conical keyed drum brakes. I have some time in front of me, the next use will the during the upcoming "Telethon" in December.
Another Multiplex, but this one equiped with single cylinder Bernard W112 gasoline engine. The starting of the engine is by the means of a hand crank and the brakes are by cables. The lighting is by a Novi (Alter-Novi) dynamo.
